Forging is a manufacturing process that involves the shaping of metal using localized compressive forces.  The forces are delivered with a hammer (typically a power hammer) or a die.

The different type of forging process are based on temperature:

Forged parts can range in weight from less than a kilogram to hundreds of metric tons.  Wherever a component requires high strength forging is typically used.

Typical products that are forged are:

  • Kitchenware
  • Hardware
  • Hand Tools
  • Edged Weapons
  • Jewelry
